Namisindwa District Swears in New LCV Chairperson and District Councillors.

Namisindwa District on 21st May 2026 witnessed the official swearing-in and handover ceremony of the Office of the District Chairperson to the newly elected LCV Chairperson, Hon. Emma Bwayo, at Namisindwa Technical School grounds.

The event marked an important milestone in the district’s leadership transition and brought together political leaders, technical staff, district officials, community members, and invited guests to witness the commencement of a new chapter of leadership in Namisindwa District.

The ceremony also featured the swearing-in of District Councillors representing various lower administrative units across the district. The councillors took oath and officially assumed their responsibilities to represent the people and contribute to the district’s development agenda.

The occasion was graced by the Guest of Honor, Hon. Emmanuel Dombo, who commended the democratic process and encouraged the newly elected leaders to prioritize service to the people, accountability, unity, and effective leadership. He emphasized the importance of working together to strengthen local governance and improve service delivery for the people of Namisindwa.

During the official handover, leaders highlighted the significance of continuity in leadership and the need for collective efforts among political leaders, technical staff, development partners, and communities in advancing the district’s development goals.

In his remarks after taking oath and officially assuming office, Hon. Emma Bwayo expressed gratitude to the people of Namisindwa District for the confidence and trust placed in him through the electoral process. He pledged to serve the people of Namisindwa diligently and committed himself to working towards improved service delivery and sustainable development across the district.

He further called upon leaders at all levels to work together in unity and cooperation for the benefit of the district and its people, noting that progress can only be achieved through collective effort and commitment.

The ceremony concluded with messages of support and goodwill to the newly sworn-in leaders as they begin their responsibilities of serving the people of Namisindwa District.
